started ortho tricyclen about a month ago.
Went good for 1st week, spotted, bleed and had bad cramps for the next 2 weeks on the pill, could not take it anymore stopped taking the pill and have been spotting, bleeding and still cramping for the last week.
I made a dr appointment, because I am freaking out!
Boyfriend is about to go crazy because I have been like don't touch me for the last 3 weeks!!
Anything like this happened to anyone else?
I know I probably should have stayed on it longer, but the cramps where horrible (I usually have only minor cramping on the 1st day).

This is completely normal. Trying to find the right birth control is like trying to find the perfect hair style. It's trial and error. Just make an appointment and get something different. This is completely common and your gyno will just reccomend something different.
hmmm thats weird because i use that same birth control and never got any of those things. BUT i dont go according to the guidelines i take it and then there are times i forget to take it, and then i stoped taking it like 4 days ago and ofcourse i got my period and i am in soo much pain which is a FIRST! but try and get a low dosage of birth control... the one thing i got a lot with ortho tricyclen was bad headaches:(
Its normal. Now your cycle is messed up because you did not take the whole month of pills. Be very careful because you can get preg. at this stage. Go to the doctor and try other pills or try the patches. You can even try the implants. You have a lot of options so just talk to your doctor. Good Luck.
they're right, some cramping is normal side effect when starting pills, so is spotting (it's called break-thru bleeding) i take yasmin %26 haven't had any side effects so that might be an option for u- when u go to the doctor they'll see if you need a different dose and tell u it takes time for the body to get used to the hormone changes and side effects shouldnt last longer than that, %26 if u take the pills on schedule things should get back to normal
