I was wondering is it true that when you have diarrhea and you are on the pill is it less effective?
Answer:
If you just took your pill and it hasn't been absorbed into your system yet and then you vomit or have serious diarrhea, you might not get the dose you were supposed to get. If you took the pill in the morning and got diarrhea in the afternoon, you are probably fine.

No, but what you might be reffering to is something different. If you take your pill, and then get very ill (i.e. puking, diarhea) and everything inside you comes right back out immediately after you've taken the pill (i mean everything) then it's possible that the pill didn't get absorbed and came right back up too. It's not likely, but it is possible.
