.. any info would help. thanks :]
Answer:
Skipping a month can mess up your periods as can missing pills for days at a time by causing withdrawal bleeding because of not having the medicine go in to the body.

As for your dr not wanting to discuss this issue with you might want to consider getting another opinion (or even finding another dr) but preferably from someone that does not share the same office as the dr that you currently see.

I'm sorry that your dr did not feel comfortable with answering this question for you.
Stopping the control for a month then going back on, as far as I know, is not harmful.

I dont have much more for you but if your Doc isn't helping ask your mum/ friends another Doc or force your Doc to tell you what you need to know. They should. It's their responsibility.

Hope this helps!
First off, you should always ask your doctor about any questions that you have; that is what she is there for. Second, as far as long term problems for taking birth control pills over an extended period of time, I have not yet seen any research about that. But if you are concerned, this is something that you need to bring up with your doctor. As far as the inconsistency in taking your birth control pills, you should always take any prescribed medications as indicated by your physician. Not taking your pills as your doctor recommends could lead to more irregular periods, which would defeat the purpose of you taking them in the first place. If taking the pills everyday at the same time is a problem of inconvenience for you, perhaps you can talk to your doctor about a prescription that will work better for you.
